So many of you responded favorably to my prayer journal that I asked Jennifer at Walking with Him if she would like to sponser a giveaway. She was too sweet and agreed. A tool like this is something to share! So, we're giving away one prayer journal/guide/notebook to one lucky reader! Yay!

A couple of weeks ago, St. Bernard Sports contacted me about doing a promotion and review on my blog. Having lived in the DFW area all my life, I knew what a cool shop this was. Even though it is really popular in the metroplex and is known as the place to go for your skiing needs and wants, for the longest time it was the only local store where I could find my Vineyard Vines polos. And I loved it for that! ;)

MEND: A Story and a Giveaway

Have you heard the story about Mend? Have you been 'Marked?' The Mend Mark is a mission, a movement, an entire revolution. When I first came across the Mark of Love bracelet, I was a bit intrigued and curious about the design. The two big round circles were a little peculiar. After some Googling, I learned the circular disks that are positioned at each side of the wrist represent the scars and nail holes of Jesus Christ. I was absolutely blown away by that concept and design. And I'm not the only one. The Mark of Love has been spotted on several celebrities like Lee Dewyze, Pillar, and Finding Favor.

Happy Love Month: A Her Southern Charm Giveaway

Happy Love Month, ya'll!!

I totally heart this month. I love how everything is decorated in pinks and reds. Such a fun time of year. I'm such a sap, too. Last night, I got in the mood to create a fun, new charm for me to wear. I wanted it to have an organic feel to it because I so love the homemade look. This is what I came up with...

I wear this necklace daily.  I used to have Georgia Heart on it, but I've wanted a change for a while now. I have no idea what I'll call this new design but I loved the word "always" because Southern Hubby and I will be always. Sappy, huh? On the reverse side, I put our anniversary date. I love how it turned out but I've got a few kinks to work out in the design before I put it up. :: For some reason, we call each other Bee, hence the other charm. ::

And because I want everyone to feel as lovey-dovey as I do right now, I thought a little giveaway might be in order! :)

Cambria Cove $100 Giveaway!!

There's no better feeling than getting a surprise. The thrill and excitement that builds as you unwrap something unexpected can almost be too much to bear at times!

That completely explains the way I felt when a mysterious packaged arrived at my door. I immediately tore into it and unearthed a gorgeously gift-wrapped package. I couldn't imagine what surprises lay in store if the box was this beautiful!

I was not let down.

Chris, over at Cambria Cove sent me some absolutely gorgeous tools for entertaining. Between the Mercado Table Runner, the match yellow napkins, the festive napkin rings, and the green hand etched pitcher, I was ready to throw myself a fiesta! (It didn't take too long to get some yummy sangria in that baby to test it out! ;P )

I was absolutely thrilled at how beautiful and colorful these items were. I'm a sucker for Mexican decor, as my great great grandparents were from Mexico and I've got all kinds of Mexican inspired pieces scattered around my house. It was like Chris had full access into my decorator's mind! Loved it!

After browsing online, I discovered that their expertise didn't stop at entertaining. From jewelry to stationary, Cambria Cove has it all. (I'm a sucker for date books. Yay! My handwriting is famous!

Did I ever mention how much I love love love Amanda, from Kevin and Amanda? Not only is this gal uber talented in photography but we have mirror lives! She's a stay at home wife who dabbles in photography, has two fur babies, loves all this about handwriting and decorating and traveling and even sewing. My only wish would be that we lived closer to each other. I think I'd be attached to her hip.

Well, Miss Amanda just posted some super cute doodles and fonts on her website and there are some from yours truly! :) Jacks and Matty even got in on the fun! So, if you

Fore!: Ame & Lulu Golf Belt Giveaway!

Thanks for being patient while I got my blog legs back. While it wasn't the commenters that got me upset, it was the whole situation. If I lose readers over my true opinions and feelings, then that's their prerogative. Believe me, I don't lose any sleep.

It's what the situation was about that upset me. Thank you to all those sweet girls who emailed me, showing me their support or to check in to see how I was doing. I really appreciate and thank each of you from the bottom of my heart. After spending a few good quality days with my boys, both 4 legged and 2 legged, I got around to feeling much better. :) And this good mood (fueled by a couple of mango'ritas- yes, they are as delicious as they sound) led me to make a foursome date this weekend with Southern Hubby and two of our good friends.

The Southern Housewife does not know how to play golf. The Southern Housewife has taken many lessons and tried to play golf. But the Southern Housewife is going to make quiet a fool of herself this weekend.

At least I will look super cute while playing! Here is the outfit I intend to wear. (please excuse the wrinklies!) Lilly white polo, J.Crew cardigan with my last initial embroidered on the chest, pink Vineyard Vines pants and an Ame & Lulu golf belt) And even though my fave preppy color combo is pink and navy, I can't resist a good pink and green anything! To me, they are both classic.

I think what really makes this outfit stand out is my super cute Ame & Lulu golf belt. The cardigan brings out the green in the belt and the belt ties the whole outfit together, don't you think? And the little tee holders are just too perfect- you can't beat a short cut!

After perusing this store, I just fell in love! I love playing tennis and I've just got to get my hands on their whole tennis line! It is to die for! Of course I'm partial to the resort tennis bag for obvious reasons, but the whole line is just adorable. Every color combo is perfect! And the kicker? They can monogram pretty much anything!!! Now, that is the cherry on any preppy's pie!

And just because Ame & Lulu are fabulous with a capital F, they have decided to have a giveaway! The winner gets their own super cute golf belt to take to the golf course this summer. Even if you lose, you're still the best dressed! You can't go wrong!

Another Preppy Giveaway!!

Giveaway!! Oh, Vineyard Vines, how I love thee!

They sent me a super cute koozie (in the patch design that I love) and a pink whale sticker. :) Haven't decided where I'm going to put it...on my clipboard that I put my daily to do list every morning so I can see it daily, on the back of the Land Rover *it's dark navy blue so it totally matches!*, or on the ceiling above my bed so that it can grant me a preppy dream each night. ;) Hmmmm....decisions, decisions.

I was so overwhelmed by all of the entries and ideas to fall asleep. Please know that this sleep-deprived girl will be trying each and every one of them!

I do know that when I pray while laying down, I drift off to sleep quickly. So, it was funny to see that so many others have that same little trick! But once I get that "why can't I fall asleep!?" thought in my head, it becomes twice as hard. All that pressure plus quick glances at the clock makes it almost impossible.

I just ordered a ton of these tiny muslin bags for my jewelry. If you haven't ordered from me before, this cute bag is what your necklace will come in. I had a custom stamp made so that I could put my logo on each bag. I got through about 50 of them one night. When I went upstairs the next morning to my craft room to start working, I saw that he had finished stamping the rest. And there were a couple hundred more. Is he a sweetie poo or what?! This one totally makes up for all the times he throws his socks on the floor when the hamper is 2 feet away. ;) Love you, SH! Girls, go do a sweet gesture for your hubbies today- he'll appreciate it more than you'll ever know!
